Summer Series #2

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

During summer here in Taipei, it is very popular (at least among foreigners) to attend the weekly pool parties in the city. Last summer, me and my friends were almost every weekend at one, and we absolutely loved them. You stay all day outside, with music, DJs, drinks and friends.. I mean, what’s not to love?

Anyway, since the pool party season is starting this weekend in Taipei,  for the second installment of my “Summer Series”, I wanted to share with you my dream “pool party” outfit.

First off, you can’t forget your swimsuit! even if you don’t actually like going “in” the pool, it’s a necessary item! I loved this one in coral with the cute ruffles, very girly and bright. Then of course, you can’t forget your shades! these ones from Karen Walker are amazing, and once I get a steady job I’m going for them! haha For the top, I wanted something light and flowy, and what better choice than this beautiful teal blouse with gold details? It goes perfect with these fringe shorts, which you can easily make yourself! Just get an old pair of jeans and cut away!

For accessories, I’ve been dying for months now to get some long feather earrings, and these are just perfect. Since we are expecting these pool party to be under a sunny sky, these bright beaded bracelets would definitely  look amazing under the sun. Lastly, the bag and sandals both on nude earthy tones for balancing the outfit a bit. Plus, you gotta love those fringed boho-looking bags! :)

Anyway, this would be my perfect option for a pool party, what would you wear?

Hope you liked! xx

Winter is officially over here in Taiwan, so I am ready to say goodbye to the ugly cold and welcome the heat and sunshine that is coming my way! (though I will probably be fed up with the heat after a month haha) This is one of my first summer outfits of 2012, and I love it; I think it’d be great to hang out around the city, or maybe for an outdoor festival (I just wore it to go get my grad pics. I know, lame). These are my favorite shorts right now, especially because of the lovely dark wash (also my fave).

Anyway, I’m really happy that it’s finally time to start rocking shorts again! It also means though,  time to step up the work out man! haha Hope you like! xx

Obsessed With: Nasty Gal

So I first heard about Nasty Gal this year, and I couldn’t help but love everything they carry on the store. Besides, the story behind the brand is any fashion lovers’ fairy tale dream. It all started with founder, Sophia Amoruso, selling vintage clothes on eBay at age 23, and because of her amazing taste, hard work and talent for styling, the eBay shop became a hit which eventually led to the opening of her own site and online store.

The store carries both vintage and  new clothes now, along with shoes and accessories. Their blog is the most amazing thing, with great editorials, perfect for inspiring Nasty Gal lovers worldwide. Best of all, they ship internationally and they have a pretty awesome flat shipping rate of only USD 15, which just makes my day <3 One thing I hate is unbelievably  high international shipping rates! (*cough* *cough* Forever 21 )

I still haven’t bought anything from them, but lately I have been finding myself browsing their site for hours on end. They are not super-affordable, but not crazy expensive either, so I will definitely be buying from them soon. Here are my fave looks from the new arrivals, you like?
